Since 30 June 2020 all commercial cleaning contractors have been required to be licensed under the Labour Hire Licensing Authority. Organisations using contractors (referred to as ‘Hosts’) are required to only engage those contractors who either hold a license or have at least applied for a license which is currently pending, otherwise face fines up to $500,000.
